Adèle is a 17″ natural fiber art doll.
Inspiration is a curious and unpredictable phenomenon. A tiny button can make you dream to create a coat. My inspiration for Adèle came from these black boots we all used to wear in the 90’s. I started to imagine a redhead with a grunge outfit and I knew from the beginning that this doll would refuse to wear a dress. I felt she would ask for large pants that would let everyone notice her shoes. In the same time I wanted to give her a childish look with joyful colors, this is how the striped t-shirt came to highlight the outfit. The most adorable backpack, created and offered by my friend Sarahi from @tinymiraclesdolls, perfectly completed Adèle’s wardrobe. One can say that it was especially designed for her. And what is a French girl without a Parisian beret !
Adèle is entirely created with natural materials. The body is needle felted with Lincoln wool and covered with cotton jersey. I used goat mohair for her gorgeous red hair, her eyes are embroidered with deep brown cotton floss. Her body construction allows her to turn the head and her boots help her stand. These details make her very enjoyable for posing.
I would recommend Adèle to collectors that love to play with dolls, to take pictures and to spoil them.
